Mineral Resources in Tamil Nadu
- Tamil Nadu has a few mining projects based on Titanium, Lignite, Magnetite, Graphite, Limestone, Granite and Bauxite.
- The first ones the Naively Lignite Corporation that hassled development of large industrial complex around Naively in Cuddalore district with Thermal power plants, Fertilizer and Carbonisation plants.
- Magnetite mining is at Salem from which mining of Bauxite ores is carried out at Yaracuy and this region is also rich in Iron Ore at Kanjamalai.
- Molybdenum is found in Karadikuttam in the Madurai district.
